Administration Division

Major Sid Andrews
Asst. Chief of Police

Major Sidney B. Andrews, Jr.  is the Assistant Chief of the Centerville Police Department and oversees the Administrative (Admin) Division. Major Andrews has over 11 years of law enforcement experience.  Prior to his appointment to Assistant Chief in November 2008, Major Andrews served in various capacities within the department, including Patrol Commander and CID Commander.  Major Andrews was attached to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) as a task force agent from March 2004 until October 2006. Major Andrews is a Clandestine Laboratory Technician, SWAT Operator, Field-Training Officer, and Crime Scene Technician.

Major Andrews oversees the daily operations of all divisions within the Centerville Police Department. Additionally, he assists the Chief of Police with administrative duties such as policy, training, personnel, and budget issues.

The Centerville Police Department's Admin Division is staffed by two full-time administrative assistants who are responsible for all support services within the department. These services include providing professional assistance to both the citizens of Centerville as well as the individual personnel of the police department.

The Admin Division works very closely with the various Municipal, Juvenile, and Superior Courts to ensure the proper documentation is available when needed and is maintained accurately, safely, and efficiently. The Admin Division maintains all records, reports, and criminal history information within the department and provides reports to courts, insurance companies, and the public as requested.  In addition, the Admin Division maintains and updates warrants issued by the Municipal Court as well as files for the Georgia Crime Information Center (GCIC) and the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).
